1.9.16 – Daily – (Lifestyle)

Fuel: I eat a primarily plant based diet. I’ll have fresh meat about once or twice a week from known sources – not slaughterhouse hormone fueled grocery store garbage.

Example from today – Lunch: Peppers stuffed with with quinoa, lentils, wild rice, cilantro, and tomatoes

Orange Triad – Controlled Labs Multi-vitamin with digestion aids, and a solid joint complex

Flow – Progenex  Hydrolyzed Salmon Protein (let that sink in).  This is tropical flavored protein from Salmon.  Feel free to ask the questions if you haven’t heard of it and are intrigued.  Its pretty pricey.

Perpetuem – Hammer Nutrition Fuel for Endurance efforts

PBN’s proprietary blend ** This is a mixture of my own ingredients.  If you look at the supplements you take you will see the ingredients they use in varying amounts.  I generally like to go straight to the source and buy the bulk ingredients.

I always recommend that people do research on supplements they are using.  I don’t just go into GNC and buy whatever is being sold as the latest “insane pre-workout”.  90% of all pre-workouts and other supplements have the exact same stuff in them.  What makes each supplement different is their “propriety blend”.  Some see this as a gimmick or a mask that enables a company to hide the amount of each ingredient that is in the product.  While this is true, the blends are truly proprietary and different mixes produce different results (to be fair to the critics and the companies).

New Section:  Things I’m trying to get into (some just call it hobbies).  I got a speed bag put up so thats a cool process.  As I’ve gotten older I appreciate the learning process a lot more just because I know that as I keep practicing, I will get better.

Photography – I honestly have had some really good classes on photography in both Regiment and SF.  I also took a photography class in high school.  I still forget what all of the terms mean.. Really pisses me off.

Piano – I got my wife a pretty legit keyboard for Christmas because she has always wanted to learn how to play.  I have played the guitar since I was in fifth grade, but if I looked at sheet music I couldn’t tell you a thing.

  • ROB: On Photography – I can assist – I can have anyone full manual quickly – someone with your background – less than a hr – all pertinent terms related back to root purpose for end result or just normalized for full recall.

    • I’m all for it brother. I see you understand that basically I’m just looking at some refresher training, but likewise I’ll soak up any knowledge you’ve got

  • Yes sir. I put together a simple tool that makes the typical relationship between aperture (fstop) and shutter easy along with what f does to depth of field and initial amount of light. Then using ISO (film speed) as the wild card for additional light. Digital was a huge game changer and of course all digital SLR’s have meters in the eye piece when in doubt. If you were close a quick photo safari would have you doped. I usually hand draw this tool but I’ll put a digital one together and PM it to you.
